Prologue
This is a short series that combines phantasy, science fiction, humour and action. It could be great if it didn’t end so fast and sudden.

Animation - Sound - Story: 6
Everything is very reminiscent of the Slayers series. We get medium detail to graphics, lame pop songs, humorous battles and an epic-but-superficial scenario. (spoiler alert!)

The story setting is based on old JRPG games. In a magical/medieval world, three adventurers (warrior, wizard, thief) are hired to steal artifacts of the typical elements (fire, water, earth, wind) and awaken an ancient weapon of an old and very advanced civilization (thus, the sci-fi element). A grand-scaled battle is followed by a sudden ending (the conclusion feels very incomplete).

In general, everything feels mediocre and one-of-the-same, if you have watched enough anime.

Characters - Value - Enjoyment: 4
The coolest character is a living sword but we hardly get to understand his motives in the small amount of time we are given. So, without enough time to enjoy the clichéd story or its typical characters, there is hardly anything memorable left here (and nothing if you have watched Slayers). Too bad.

Verdict
The accused is found … GUILTY! … of plagiarism.
