Review - Mutant Turtles: Choujin Densetsu-hen

Prologue
This is the second worst OVA based on a famous title I have ever seen (the first is Chrono Trigger’s Jikuu Bouken Nuumamonjaa). Once again, the producers thought that this thing would sell no matter how bad it is, as long as it has famous characters in it.
Animation & Sound: 6
Nothing really bad here. Most of it is as we remember it in the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Of course, in many cases, the low budget phenomenon pops its head and we get erratic movement and unneeded body deformity.
Story & Characters: 2
What story? What characters?
Character development is non-existent, like in the normal series. But here, all characters are presented as a bunch of idiots running around. Totally undermines any respect you may have had for them.
The scenario is just two stand-alone episodes where Shredder makes an attempt to rule the world and the turtles beat him… in very pathetic and unimaginative ways.
Value & Enjoyment: 1
Toxic waste! Are there really so many gullible idiots out there that maintain this sort of market treatment towards us, buyers? Don’t watch this. Don’t even think about it. Pretend it was a bad dream and doesn’t really exist.
Verdict
Flush the turtles down the toilet!
